2008 CAL SOCCER CAMPS
BACK TO BACK Pac-10 CHAMPIONS, 2006 & 2007!!! We hope you will join us this summer for our Cal Soccer Camps for Boys. Our staff is selected for their ability to coach, train and develop players, and includes some of the nation's best players and coaches.
We believe in providing the opportunity for players to reach their greatest potential by being challenged technically and tactically, in a fun and encouraging environment. The Golden Bear Soccer Camp curriculum has been developed to offer modern and successful training methods used in the United States and Europe. We also look forward to sharing training techniques and methods that helped the Cal Men's Soccer Team win the Pac-10 Championship two years in a row, and become one of the top teams in the nation. Our camp is designed for beginner through advanced level soccer players. Individuals are placed in groups with participants of similar age, size, and ability to ensure a beneficial training environment. We offer special goalkeeper sessions within each camp. Come join Coach Grimes and the Cal staff for lots of soccer and great fun! All camp sessions are held at historic Memorial Stadium/Witter Field (Advanced Camps), Hearst North (Half Day) and Maxwell Family Field (Full Day), all located on the University of California, Berkeley campus. _______________________ ADVANCED CAMPS These camps are designed for advanced level individual players and teams. We offer a rigorous training regimen designed to identify, evaluate, and prepare players seeking to compete at the elite level. We also provide a college seminar and recommendation / referral service upon request. In addition to fundamentals, some of the technical and tactical aspects of the game our coaches teach include:
Daily Schedule (Sample)
FULL DAY CAMPS Camps are designed to improve the technical and tactical abilities of the more serious soccer players. Our goal is for participants to improve their speed of play, soccer awareness, and positive playing habits. Participants are grouped by age and ability levels. This is a great camp for high school, club, and recreational teams! In addition to fundamentals, daily sessions include:
HALF DAY CAMPS Our soccer camp philosophy is that players should have fun while learning new soccer skills and improving their ability levels. Our half-day camp director, Bill Giacalone, has over 25 years coaching and teaching experience. He brings his vast knowledge, and high and fun energy, to teach and develop young soccer players. Players are introduced to fundamental skills and game strategies. Small-sided games are played daily. This is an outstanding camp for beginning - intermediate level players. _______________________ Click HERE to View/Download:
